A Few of Our Student Pilots
Twenty one year old Jacob, an avid skateboarder, first took controls of an airplane in October, 2012 with A Different Point of View. He continued with APDOV and became an intern with Mike Linhart, I.A. mechanic for Above All Aviation and continues to work toward his A&P and Private Pilot License. He was also recently promoted to Skateboard Director for the City of Santa Barbara Parks & Recreation Department. He attends college at Santa Barbara City College.
Eighteen year old Chenoah attended her 2nd Aviation Career Program this summer and has been with with A Different Point of View since 2014. Her leadership abilities garnered her one of the scholarships from the Adrienne Hall Emerging Leadership Award funds. Chenoah dreams of becoming a firefighter and will be a senior at San Marcos High School in the fall.
Nineteen year old Lucas started flying with A Different Point of View in 2014. He was an intern at the Aviation Career Program in June and continues to help out in leadership positions with the organization. He is also interning with Mike Linhart from Above All Aviation to learn A&P mechanic skills. Lucas dreams of becoming a pilot. He is attending Santa Barbara City College this summer.
Fifteen year old Maria joined A Different Point of View in March of 2015. She attended the June Aviation Career Program and was the youngest and spunkiest student we had and was also awarded a scholarship from the Adrienne Hall Emerging Leadership Award funds. She will be attending Santa Barbara High School in the fall.
